Artist talks can be scheduled in conjunction with demonstrations, workshops, publications and exhibitions on Mexican cut paper, the artist’s collection of cut paper, Buddhist burial papers and shadow puppetry.
Trenchard teaches and demonstrates for students, teachers and families at museums and schools interested in her techniques and research in shadow puppetry, which she studied in Indonesia. She has a diverse collection of shadow puppets which she brings to life on her own portable screen.
Demonstration/workshops can be tailored to different age or skill levels as well as special exhibits, events or seasonal celebrations. Participants can learn new techniques for projects as simple as making a sunburst banner to applying textile design to fabricate fancy paper table liners and matching luminaria.
